Project: Legacy Firmware Development and Testing

Siemens building technologies (SBT) provides solution for building automation consists of Field panels capable of communicating with Siemens devices and third party devices. The Field panel provides MMI support on serial port for application configuration, device configuration, status check, Points creation, Events creation, Equipment scheduling, Alarms, MSTP FLN devices etc.

A web server is incorporated into the firmware used to connect internet browser to the panel. All the functionality is exposed to the web client by introducing a thin layer between the web server and the core firmware. Web server receives requests from web client request is parsed and supplied to the core firmware, firmware respond back with proper response.
